Successful Inauguration of Celsius Energy’s First Demonstrator in the UK

This project embodies our ambition to deploy a simple, renewable, and easily scalable heating and cooling geothermal solution in the UK. The demonstrator offers local stakeholders a tangible experience of our technology, providing an inspiring model to transform the way we heat and cool buildings.

The event began with a site tour, followed by a dynamic panel discussion exploring the potential of shallow geothermal energy to sustainably reshape the UK’s energy landscape:

• Cindy Demichel (CEO & Co-founder, Celsius Energy): A retrospective on Celsius Energy’s successes in France and the United States.
• Parth Mehta (Director, Plan Zero Consulting, Mitie): Accelerating decarbonization in large buildings and industry through public partnerships.
• Prof. Tim Green (Director of Sustainability, Imperial College London): Sustainable campuses and the decarbonization of UK networks.
• Anne Murrell (CEO, UK GEOPower): Financial challenges in geothermal projects and the importance of attracting investors.
• Andy O’Brien (Co-Director, Bristol Energy Cooperative): The role of local cooperatives in low-carbon heat networks.
